Small Church Congregation Fundraiser
It is the practice of Soothee Inc. to offer a fundraiser opportunity for Small Church Congregations (typically 75 or less average weekly attendance).
The Pastor recommends a person for service in their local church area based on their qualifications. Soothee, Inc., interviews the person by phone to determine whether or not they may provide volunteer service. Basically, they need to know how to use the Web, email sending and recieving of attachments, accurately fill in forms, and use faxing software (drag and drop) or a fax machine. The most important quality however, is diligent reliability.
The technical skills required are: computer familiarity with Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice (FREE from OpenOffice.com), Internet Explorer, and faxing. Computer fax software such as BlackIce Impact Color Fax Lite (FREE from www.blackice.com) is a preferred alternative to an actual fax machine. Equipment requirements are a Windows PC, Microsoft Excel (or free Open Office equivalents), email, and fax software (or machine) with a free long distance telephone line (i.e. AT+T Nationwide calling plans, etc).
For those that have one, an optional benefit may come from an All-In-One Fax/Printer which can fax from the computer out through the fax machine through internal software more easily than inserting a piece of paper (i.e. HP 6310 Series), in lieu of BlackIce.
Volunteers receive assignment forms (Excel Format) from Soothee, Inc. to look up chiropractors in a designated US county via a Web service which povides name, address, and phone numbers. The volunteeer calls the chiropractor’s offices to obtain the fax numbers of the chiropractors, fills in the form, and faxes 1 page of HCPcast information to each of the chiropractor’s offices. The process takes about 1 minute per office.
There is NO selling involved, as materials faxed to chiropractors direct them to the HCPcast.com web site. All one is calling to ask for is the fax number.
After the fully completed form for the designated area is completed and emailed to Soothee Inc., the church is permanently eligible for donations from all subscriptions from the doctors so contacted. Upon receipt of each subscription order, the church receives a $50 donation, and automatically upon annual renewal from the doctor, perpetually.
Anticipated income for the small church congregation is about $25 per hour of volunteer time, which will vary. However, in the second year, all the income from the first year will automatically be received as doctors renew, in addition to new subscriptions. Essentially year two doubles donations, year three triples them, and so forth. Double the people also doubles donations, triple triples, and so forth as well.
Pastors interested should email a recommended volunteer’s name, email address, and description of the person’s ability to do the work in a timely and reliable fashion to info@soothee.com. The subject line of any emails to info@soothee.com concerning this opportunity should read: Small Church Fundraiser for clarity.
Soothee, Inc. will consider the application. There are limited slots available. Once one volunteer has successfully completed the first assignment, the church becomes eligible for additional people to be added on behalf of their church. Preferential positions will be offered to those churches which are already active over adding new churches.
The donation is always earmarked for general purposes, so it’s use is completely up to the discretion of the local congregation. However, for shut-ins with limited income, this may be a way for the church to let them work, gain income for the church, and then the church expend some of the funds they raise on the individual people themselves (don’t muzzle the ox who treads the corn principle) in the form of “in-kind” or “vendor provided” items, which does not generally impact receipt of social security or welfare in most states (check local laws).
Soothee Inc. appreciates the community and spiritual service churches add to our soceity.
